David Hall speaks from operational experience.
Two decades in clinical research, seven years building a global physician innovation network, and two years running agentic AI on live clinical trials. The talks are built from what actually happened.
Operator first. Speaker second.
David Hall is the founder of TAMP Clinical. He has spent two decades at the intersection of clinical research, regulatory strategy, and health innovation — first as a practitioner, then as a builder of the infrastructure that makes clinical innovation possible.
He founded the Digital Innovation Upskilling Program (DIUP) seven years ago, which has now certified more than 100 clinician-innovators across 13 or more countries. He has been operating agentic AI systems on live clinical trials for two years — longer than most organizations have been evaluating them.
He is based in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, and speaks internationally on clinical AI, market entry, and physician-led innovation.
Four talks
The Serialization Problem
Why clinical trials are slow and what agentic AI actually does about it
Trials are not slow because people are slow. They are slow because the work is serialized — protocol to CRF to dataset to specification to table, with a human handoff at every step. This talk explains the serialization problem in concrete terms and describes what two years of operating agentic AI on live trials has taught us about where it helps and where it does not.
The Physician Innovation Gap
Why clinicians are the best source of health innovation ideas and the worst at acting on them
Physicians observe unmet clinical need every day. Most of them have no pathway from observation to innovation. This talk describes the structural barriers — psychological, organizational, and systemic — that prevent clinician-led innovation, and what a seven-year program to address them has produced.
Entering the U.S. Market
What international life-science companies get wrong and how to get it right
The U.S. market is the largest and most complex in the world. International companies consistently underestimate the operational requirements — entity structure, FDA strategy, payer landscape, and commercial infrastructure. This talk is built from the experience of running a 90-day market entry program for companies from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
The Integration Layer
How to build a clinical AI strategy without building everything yourself
Most organizations approach clinical AI as a build-or-buy decision. The better frame is integration: which capabilities exist, which are worth using, and how do you assemble them into a coherent operating model? This talk describes the partner ecosystem we have built and the principles we use to evaluate new capabilities.
